Definition

The definition of project management varies, depending on the projects and the companies. We understand any form of external project management, working with company own personal.

The tasks of the project director are, the project description with its objectives, the project scheduling (involved persons, milestones and costs), as well as the project execution (people management, reporting, checks, deviations, etc.). The project is finished, when the final report is written, with the results and +/- deviations. This tasklist can be extended or shorten, if some elements already exist or are not necessary.

The external project manager can also assume operational tasks, as team member and also be responsible for parts of the project (if wished by the client).

Based on the project complexity, a steering committee will be nominated (one person for small projects), responsible for the follow-up of the project and for its integration into the company (during and after the project).

Methods

All the well known project management, cost estimation, time scheduling, delegation, working in group, interviews, brain storming, brain mapping, consciousness raising, methods can be used, as the case arises. If required, the own company tools can be used.

Fees

Fees are variable and depend on the form and complexity of the project. The fees can be defined as a fix hour fee, a fixed global amount or as a percentage of the project value.

Fees are agreed upon during the first meeting(s), where the contract will be discussed and defined, together with the involved parties.

In the case of a complicated project, a detailed offer will be worked out and submitted to the involved parties.
