The notion of peace project is relative. At the beginning of the project MEDI-M defines together with the parties involved, based on the complexity, the magnitude and the funds available, if it is a peace project or a classical conflict resolution project (see also Organization and contributions and donators)
Based on its vision and its resources, MEDI-M concentrates essentially on small and also medium conflicts.
MEDI-M is prepared to work with any official organizations, governmental and non-governmental, as project manager or active member of a bigger team.
MEDI-M concentrates on conflict resolution projects or post-traumatic work, but doesn't work as peacemaker.
Medi-M can also be involved in awareness programs, in regions or organizations, where a risk of conflict escalation exists.
MEDI-M bases its action on pragmatical and efficient work, without big interactions with the media.
MEDI-M presents many advantages: - Its declared neutrality, well anchored in Switzerland - Its skills in conflict management and "multy-culturality" - Its small size, offering flexibility, response time, limited costs (optimized infrastructure, lean structure) - Its infrastructure, where the neutrality can be felt in all its forms (space, methods, energy). The Mediation Centre's space energy is "maintained" neutral, stimulating and fluid, in order to create a safe container, where ideas can emerge.
An enhancement of the infrastructure is currently under investigation.
